The village of Scharmer / Harkstede is really quiet, but there is a bus every 30 minutes. Breakfast was really good, there is an abundance of everything you could ask for. The owners are very friendly and helped me, for instance when my work required me to change my early check-in to a midnight one. Room was great, equipped with a sink, has lots of windows and the bed was perfect: solid stuff, slept like a rose, 4 nights in a row. Recommended!

What a place! I loved it at Helleborus. The tent experience is worth it in itself. The little commune has its special atmosphere. And I was lucky to be visited by a cat.

The cabin was very nice and the camping area as a whole was amazing. The lake was very nice to swim in and the common areas with toilets and showers were very clean. The ”poolbar” was very nice and offered snacks and small courses (we strongly recommend the hamburgers). We will definitely come back here again.

It was fantastic stay. Our first day in the Netherlands could not start better. The beds were very comfortable, the house from outside as well as inside is very nice and has style, the surrounding village and nature is lovely, breakfast was superb and cats were adorable. 😉 Owners were kind and helpful.
