Wow! what a stay at La Abuelita…!!! I travel very often and have stayed at many hostels and my experience staying at La Abuelita is definitely one of the best. The staffs are really helpful and hard working and they keep place as clean as possible. Nice common area with fire place and video games and they have super well equipped kitchen. Wifi is good in whole area and very quiet but still with socializing atmosphere. I was planning to stay here for 4 nights and ended up for 15 nights. And I already made plan to come back here!!!

This is a great hotel! Good "centro" location, nice clean rooms friendly helpful and mostly bilingual Spanish/English staff. The hotel is affiliated with the restaurant next door. The food was excellent, and if you tell them you are staying at the hotel they offer a small discount. Secure parking is available on the same block, the price is discounted for hotel guests, it is 15 Pesos/hour. I am on a motorcycle and secure parking is important to me. On-street parking is VERY difficult to find. The hotel does not have AC, but given the elevation of the area I was quite comfortable without it. The manager is a young man named Ben and he is THE BEST!

The atmosphere in this hostel is amazing! Very easy to socialize with volunteers and guests. Everyone is super welcoming and helpful! The pods are very comfortable, and the space itself is cozy and feels like home! The rooms are super clean and spacious enough. The hot water in the shower was the best we had throughout our travel time in Mexico. The hotel staff was extremely attentive, helping us with high quality day trips and taxi bookings. Amazing value for money.
