Our three days at fishermen’s lodge were super special, we felt so welcome and included in their family. The food in the restaurant was really amazing, the host is a great cook, we loved especially her rice and curry and the grilled fish. The traditional breakfast was also really good!
The room was really simple, but still very clean and the host was always ready to help us in any way. You just walk a few steps to the beautiful beach which is nearly empty!
In the morning the host took us fishing one time, which was the most special and fun experience! Overall we really recommend coming here for an authentic and local experience with extraordinary people!

A very good small house on the beach. It's well equipped and has a good and quiet location with several good restaurants nearby. The staff was nice and helpful.

Really great place, just near the beautiful beach - walking distance. We were lucky that at the time we stayed we were only guests. We were surrounded by the nature and only nature sounds. Also the host was very welcoming and friendly. The night walk to see the turtles was really amazing. We enjoyed the place and hospitality so much, so we decided to stay longer there.

Lovely studio set just back from the beach in a quiet and beautiful area.
It’s was so wonderful to be in such a quiet and serene location with the waves the only sound.
Nish is a fantastic host and the food was both delicious and plentiful. He very kindly organised a Sri Lankan cookery class with him and his Mum, also got to eat it afterwards, yum.
The beach is stunning and had a few plays in the waves although a little rough to swim.
Also had a yoga class a few minutes away which was hard but felt great after.
Lovely villa with spacious bedrooms and a nice living room and terrace facing the pool and the garden. Very convenient with kids. The beach is almost all yours and pretty but the waves are huge so young kids cannot swim by themselves.
Location is remote which is good and bad (beautiful nature but a bit far away from places to visit - except Udawalawe Park and Mulkirigala temple which are easy to reach and both amazing to visit).
Philip and Dushantha are very nice and were adorable with the kids.
The Property Owner Ravi and his Family ( Wife Chandima and the two daughters) are such a friendly caring Team. The property was top clean and comfortable. Location is super for relaxation with the Lake View. They serve grate fresh seafood in the restaurant. If need arise we will go again.
