Comfortable hotel with spacious rooms. Extremely sweet staff who made sure our stay was as pleasant as it could be. The staff prepared a cake for my son and decorated with balloons for his birthday, they were extremely nice to the kids and even offered them badminton rackets while we were having dinner, very welcoming indeed. The pictures on the website don’t do it justice, the rooms are actually clean and renovated. Recommended!

We had such a pleasent stay at Vimanra!Spacious and clean family room. Nice pool in a lovely garden just below the cozy terrace. Extremely attentive and serviceminded owner; he fixed everything for us. Meals served at our convenience. We highly recommend the afternoon safari for jetlagging Europeans; we had a wonderful experience with lots of different animals.

we liked everything about this property. The hotel is run by a really nice family. They contacted us to prepare everything before our stay: call a taxi to go, prepare dinner and arrange the safari. Our room was clean, spacious and totally worth it. The food was simply amazing. We had dinner, breakfast and lunch there where we could taste the best local food we had in Sri Lanka. Also, our stay in Sandalwood was during Sri Lankan new year. They prepared for us the typical breakfast and lunch for that day and we could meet the family. It was an incredible experience because all of them were really nice and we felt like home. Finally, they could find us a taxi to go to our next stop (what was not easy because it was public holiday and there were almost no taxis).

The tree house is in the grounds of family home in a beautiful jungle setting. Delicious meal served by host in the garden diner was a very reasonable extra. Super helpful with excursions to see Elephant Transit Home as well as Udalawala Jeep Safari. The host's recommended jeep driver/guide was superb! We had a wonderful experience overall. Attractive, very nice accommodation. The river in front of the room is very beautiful. Hammocks, sun bed are excellent. The food was delicious and the host was very friendly.Helped us with everything.The safari trip was arranged by the hotel and many different animals were seen during the safari.I can recommend the accommodation to everyone who wants to do safari.
