We had an amazing 3 day stay with Nimal and his family. He took care of everything, drove us around Dambulla and neighboring cities and waited for us while we were exploring. The host was absolutely amazing, he took us wherever we wanted for Pick me prices, made the best food in Sri Lanka and was really helpful during our stay! Try his breakfasts and dinners (kari) - he prepares something new each day🥰 He brought also some new (less known) exotic fruits.
The apartment was also really clean, good ac, mosquito net. The environment of this place is really beautiful and cleaned every day. Nice forest temperatures.
Go for a hike to the lake and even further - cross the lake to see a beautiful and less known (no tourists) temple and buddha statue. There is a beautiful view on the lake. When coming back, take a bath in the lake. This trip - my top 3 on Sri Lanka ❤️ Takes 3 hours.

One of the nicest places we stayed at sri lanka. The owner nuwan is very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. He showed us really nice spots in the area and took us to watch the sunset. The room is big and clean and includes a big bathroom as well. To have a hot shower is possible. The room we stayed in had a big ventilator on the ceiling and a mosquito net above the bed. The breakfast was nice as well and included in the price. We can really only recommend you to stay here.
