The Tara Waterfall has a nice view to the tea fields and up to the Waterfall, really stunning in the middle of nowhere. If you want silence and avoid from too much hectic and tourism (like in Ella) this is the right spot! Their service was very kind, too :-)

- We very much enjoyed the safari, which was organised by our hosts. We did a full-day safari and enjoyed the tour very much. Because it was low season we had a driver and a guide who explained very well about the animals. Our impression was that both - driver and guide - very much enjoyed the tour themselves, drove very carefully and respectful of the animals in the national park, and were also amazed by the animals we have seen.
After the safari in Udawalawe, we also did a half-day safari in Yala. It was special to us as we were lucky enough to see a leopard in Yala. But the driver and guide in Yala were only focused on finding a leopard and did not pay much attention to other animals. If you have only time to do one safari, I would recommend the Udawalawe national park.

We chose to stay at this property because of the good reviews and it was a great decision. The entire property was really clean and well maintained. The included breakfast was delicious and had lots of it! The rice curry taken for tea is the same! They arranged an afternoon safari for us as soon as we got there for a good price and it was amazing, the driver was so knowledgeable. Our best stay in Sri Lanka, we were treated like royalty! see you next time.
