The staff, the garden and the view. The house as a special vibe with its location in the nature and you can really relax and recharge your batteries.
The food, especially the perfect curry, is also the best we had in Sri Lanka. The beautiful view, the local vibe and the peacefulness of this place combined with the outstanding hospitality of the staff made our stay so incredibly enjoyable.
There are also two very cute dogs, Vevlet and Rocky:)
We also loved the activities which were offered by the hotel, like the 6 hours hike, a tour of the tea factory and the village walk with the hotel manager.

This place is just beautiful and full of peace - you will stay between tee fields in an old, charming British styled bungalow. We enjoyed the tour to the tea factory so much and can definitely recommend the breakfast and dinner - the cooking team is amazing!

Sarath and his family are the most welcoming and amiable hosts we had on our journey in Sri Lanka. The lodging is on top of a hill and inside a plantation so you are all surrounded by beautiful nature. As part of the plantation Sarath and his family are growing their own coffee and spices from which Sarath's wife cooked a most delicious breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed our stay at Plantation Retreat very much and will never forget the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We can very much recommend a stay here.

I don't know where to begin.. I came here for 1 night to hike, stayed 3 nights and didn't do a single hike. It was too good to stay with Nero's family, volunteer there and at the pre school, share meals, meditate, go for walks, play with the kids... I have never felt more at home in Sri Lanka than here. If you go there, take your time, help around, enjoy real kindness and sharing.

Great friendly and helpful staff, totally unique location in the jungle not far from Kandy, beautiful view from room, nice swimming pool (different depth for children even jumping into the water), tasty meal. Nice trips around. We stayed one night more.
