The staff are amazing - so attentive and wonderful. In additional to the hotel staff, the security guard and the house keeper made my stay very special. Everyone did everything they could to help, including giving me a drink when my tuk tuk driver was delayed picking me up and offering us a tour of the lake. Our bedroom was really nice with a terrace overlooking the garden, with a view of the lake.

We had an excellent stay in a very authentic and cozy home for the last part of our holidays in Sri Lanka. Guy and Mary were very welcoming hosts and served us delicious breakfast with homemade curd, granola and bread. Home made dinner was also available but we unfortunately could not join due to our schedule. The pool is beautifully located in the middle of the forest and was the best pool we had during our trip. The house is located in a very quiet and serene place but with a scooter/tuk tuk, everything can be reached quickly. Overall, we had a great stay at Sri Mathie and would definitely recommend to anyone!
