From arriving up the steep track, we were warmly greeted by Jacamo and provided water and info on the Monasteries history. We had a gorgeous meal that evening all at normal prices. We absolutely loved this small haven of sanctuary with stunning views over Portofino.
One of the only hotels to be located directly on Portofino’s pretty little harbour, Albergo Nazionale offers lovely views and great service as well as spacious, comfortable rooms.

This is right in the heart of Portofino, a place we love, so not having a sea view (costing a lot extra) at this price point is inevitable. That said, room without view had everything we needed, and Andrea at reception was friendly and super-helpful (tip, you can park right in front of the hotel until 10 AM to pick up luggage). Breakfast was modest but OK. It's a magical place and lots of people will pay two or mor times as much to be there!

It's not far from the center of Santa Margherita and the beach, so it has a very convenient location.

Location of the apartment is incredible and the view amazing. You can people watch for hours.
The place at night is not that noisy but I would recommend silicon ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.
Easy to locate keys and you step right out on the marina. The food/bar right by the front door is amazing.
It was super clean and if you are someone that loves a good shower pressure, it had really great shower.

This apartment was ideally located, only a short walk from the centre of Portofino, in a nice quiet location. The owners could not have been more helpful, and were always on hand to answer questions or provide recommendations. The apartment was spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed and great shower. There was everything you could ever need in an apartment. And the air conditioning was really good. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.
Great location - Portofino is an upmarket destination and this was bang in the middle of it. Very clean. Mini fridge and cooking space work fine, there’s even a small table and two dining chairs …. Nespresso machine ! WiFi fine.
Perhaps the main plus is simply that it’s affordable, unlike most other options in town.
