Very nice and friendly staff, home cooked dinner every day, quiet area. Our host, Romina was very kind and helpful throughout our stay, helping with information about the area and places to visit. We felt safe in the area. We parked our rental car with no issues on the street.
I recommend this place but you need a car.

Very nice boutique hotel.
Some amazing staff! Bernadette and Francesca from the reception were great and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Viola at the breakfast is also super nice and helpful.

Annamaria and her crew were brilliant communicators. Annamaria especially, always followed through with our queries. The location was absolutely beautiful and centrally located to all amenities and sites of interest. We took the offer of the hotel’s car valet which worked brilliantly for us. The room was very large and comfortable with a kitchenette and best of all, it had a balcony which my husband loved. The hotel itself was spectacular and authentically renovated. The daily breakfast was delicious and plentiful and Tony, responsible for the breakfast, was charming and friendly. We simply LOVED our stay at Lanterne Magiche and we plan to recommend this hotel to friends.

Amazing staff. Fabrizio, Zaira and many others were super helpful at any demand. The owner/manager Giusi was always there helping out with hints and a constant eye for every detail. Breakfast is superb. I can defintely tell that the pictures at Booking.com do not demonstrate well enough how beautifully set is the property. The pool is huge and "resort-like" which is super-handy for the ferocious Sicilian summer heat, however it was never full of people. Just perfect. Spacious and clean rooms.
Palazzo Artemide - VRetreats is in the heart of Ortigia Island, next to the Cathedral. It offers free lobby Wi-Fi and modern, air-conditioned rooms.

The location of Palazzo Artemide was fabulous. Very central. In the evening many nice bars and restaurants turning right down Via Roma. If driving use the parking service and follow directions exactly. Driving down the basically pedestrian end of Via Roma was a bit hairy. The room was very nice. Super comfortable big bed and the most wonderful shower. Very good buffet breakfast.
For those on a budget, these cheap and cheerful hotels still have a lot to offer, with most offering WiFi and convenient locations. Popular with backpackers, many properties can be found in central locations and include comfortable rooms with private or shared bathrooms. You’ll also find a number of options which feature a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
