Sunitha was excellent.. Very helpful. Home cooked food was tasty. Feel breakfasts could be more varied tho. Fabulous decor. Walk to beach was about 15-20 mins at a slow pace.. Beautiful & clean.

Beautiful peaceful location with view of birds including kingfishers right next to the lodge. Good beach for swimming close by. Well looked after by Shanmugam and Sasikala. Her cooking, especially fish is amazing. Wonderful boat trip with Shanmugam on the river to see even more birds and the locals at work. The owner took us to see a Thayyam event in the evening and at 4.30 the next morning which was an unforgettable experience. We were even invited to a big wedding at a house close by. A holiday to treasure.
Clean pool, small, remote, and feels like a tropical paradise. We'll placed. Cheap restaurant food. Not included in the price but affordable compare to the 2 neighbouring hotels nileshwar hermitage and malabar, of which malabar has outdated facilities and a mucky pool and sub par service and food. Kanan had great food I was never left hungry and it didn't break the bank.
The location is ideal for relaxation and for enjoying the real beauty of seaside. Not a crowded place, the sea is just 100-200 meters away from the property. The manager and the other two staff members were very warm and helpful. Though the property don't have their own restaurant, the food served was homemade,local, and tasty.
It's just like a Home stay with 4 bedrooms, not a sophisticated resort with so many guests.
