It was a lovely stay. Warm and cosy. It was spacious.
In central Waterford, The Anchorage Guesthouse overlooks the River Suir and is a 5-minute walk from Plunkett Train Station. It offers affordable rooms with TVs and traditional Irish breakfasts.
For those on a budget, these cheap and cheerful hotels still have a lot to offer, with most offering WiFi and convenient locations. Popular with backpackers, many properties can be found in central locations and include comfortable rooms with private or shared bathrooms. You’ll also find a number of options which feature a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
This was a unique experience to stay in an old convent but it was a bit disappointing. No clear entrance and no one to answer door (was knocking for some time). Corridors depressing but room very clean and comfortable. Sink gurgled on and off for some strange reason. Reasonable rates. Has huge potential and wouldn’t say I would never go back. Felt like a work in progress.

The ambiance of this building is very relaxing and the people are helpful and friendly.
The building was previously occupied by nuns which is very obvious…a remarkable structure with beautiful statues of the highest dotted around…the hosts are very business like and cannot do enough to help …Magical customer services.
The location suited me, 20km from Waterford, but nice surrounding countryside.

I was welcome to property by Trevor showing me into the property and shown me the my room and the main kitchen and Bathroom! Was very quiet and had a great room very clean and great WiFi in the room and over was great Value for money! After this I have booked again for next month and is great location for bus into Waterford 20 mins and have supermarket and takeaway on Main Street! Thanks again!
