The host, Padraig, has gone out of his way to make this, his old family home for generations, a welcoming haven for travellers, all set on a working farm. The sheets are crisp and white, the towels soft and the beds comfortable. The breakfast room is fully stocked all day long with anything you could possibly desire for a continental breakfast: not just cereals, but 3 different sorts of artisan breads, local luxury cheeses and smoked salmon, many different jams, honey, peanut butter, fresh fruit, and countless varieties of tea, coffee and drinking chocolate. Plus a range of dairy and plant-based milks. The house is slightly up a hillside overlooking much of Dunquin and has the most wonderful views of the sea and the Blasket Islands. Sunsets are a treat. A compact apartment with everything you need for a short stay. The view from the terrace was wonderful, we even had a couple of cows come to say hello. This is a great base for exploring the area located in a cute village. We were able to cook and have space to relax. The host Brid was fantastic and helpful, the apartment was very clean and comfortable.
