I liked everything about Killyliss, it's peaceful rural location, its well organised facilities, its homely comfort, its generous breakfast and kitchen arrangements, and above all the welcoming and sensitively friendly presence of the owner and hostess.
I could not have stayed in a better base for my all too brief visit to Co. Monaghan.

Helena is the perfect host, we have stayed at St Kyrans before now, and our stay was absolutely wonderful. Our room was stunning, so warm and inviting, the toiletries were beautiful and such good quality. The breakfast with home made wheaten bread and berries for example was absolutely delicious and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his full irish with perfectly poached eggs. A home away from home with additional luxuries, we love it and will go back at Christmas time.

Rosemary was a great host, really enjoyed our stay, lovely breakfast and everyplace was spotless. Great stay, would def recommend. Lovely location in the countryside.
The house is wonderful, the style is unusual and we love it. It was spotless warm and comfy. Close to small town Bailieborough and not far from Virginia. Little pond at the back of the garden with fishes inside is just beautiful and the two main gates on the driveway are just awesome. Living room and kitchen are on high standard. The electric fireplace is just brilliant and the toilet is stunning with bluetooth connection mirror. The shower is 10/10. I recommend to everyone.
Location was perfect for family wedding we were attending in the area. Facilities were spotlessly clean and beds very comfortable. Lovely lounge to relax in too. Rosemary answered lots of questions I had messaged her with and was very helpful in recommending somewhere for dinner in the area. Breakfast was delicious and nothing was too much trouble for our host. Views were beautiful, especially when your bedroom window allows you to watch a gorgeous white horse running in the fields beside the house.
Perfect place to stop en route from Dublin to Donegal.
The host is very friendly, the location is very quiet.
The room and bathroom were very clean.
Bathroom is rather small, but functional. A shelve to put some of your toilettries would be helpful.
