The garden is very big and the green keepers take good care about the fresh green and the trees. Interior wise, everything you need is available, only a dishwasher would be helpful. The house is lovely, spacious, and well thought out, with a lot of natural light and an excellent terrace for morning coffee and/or evening meal. The furniture and amenities are virtually new, picked out, and placed with great taste and a lot of forethought. Villa is positioned amid a spacious garden, and an olive tree grove (that shaded our cars) in a rural part of the island, providing peace and quiet for the entire night, and most of the day hearing nothing but the crickets. A car was necessary, but the position of the house gave us easy reach over the entire island, and we managed to visit most beaches, on both sides of Corfu, that we were interested in as well as the old town, and other tourist hot spots. The hosts themselves were at hand whenever we needed something, with Alex taking the brunt of our demands with a smile, but were otherwise invisible except when bringing us fresh vegetables from the organic garden, or one of the masterful cakes Alex's mom makes. For anyone considering this villa for Corfu stays - we fully recommend it! Affordable, easy communication with the owner, homey and peaceful, it is truly a rare and beautiful place to stay.
