I searched a lot before choosing this hotel in Crete for our vacation and I think I made the best choice. Our stay was amazing and I want to thank Marilena and Ioannis for their hospitality. Very modern, very clean. Housekeeping was good. Location to beach and town was also good. Air conditioning was very effective and the accommodation was in a quiet location. Two supermarkets were at the end of the street within 25 metres walk. Many restaurants were within a 10 minute walk downhill (steep climb upon return), same for the beach. The bedroom was a good size with a large bed. There is a Nespresso coffee machine, a few pods would have been good as a complimentary starter.
Paris the owner/Manager was very helpful and accommodating with lots of local information that he is willing to share.

The property is situated on a hill with a stunning view of the sea and the mountains, conceived as a small village with several houses made of stone and a central courtyard with a swimming pool. The apartment we occupied was nice and clean with all the needed utensils to cook. The host was very nice in guiding us to the next village to buy groceries, and in indicating a very good fish restaurant on the beach (Taverna Aristodimos). Festos palace is 15 minutes away (11 Km) and that was the principal reason we made the trip (it is better to go in the afternoon, but not to late, in lack of visitors they close earlier). A few kilometers away is the Kalamaki beach, by strong winds impossible to swim because there are some stones and you can get hurt.

Great welcome from Yannis, we found good homemade dakos and tzaziki, fresh fruits and raki at the arrival. The studio is very comfortable, fully equipped for cooking and breakfast, and the terrace with the sea view is really the plus of this accommodation. Kokkinos Pirgos itself is not the greatest place to spend your vacation, but you can drive in a relative short time to great locations in the area.
Excellent location, perfect furnished, everything in place, comfortable, close to the beach.

Our vacation were really amazing! The location is exactly what we wanted. One step from the sea and near to all restaurants that you can go on foot. It was really quiet and the area of apartments with all amenities and banana trees. The apartment is equipped with everything! I haven’t met it anywhere else. There is also a barbecue that some of our neighbors used. The apartments are nicely decorated and I would say spacious.
For sure we will visit again!
For a solo traveler this place is perfect. I rented a scooter to get around to Timbaki, Agra Galini and Matala. Without transportation the location could be a challenge. There is an awesome beach 5 minutes away, with bars and restaurants. A convenience store 1 street down. But not much else. This is my 2nd time at little inn and it was far more expensive this time than last year.
This apartment is just perfect:
- Location is brilliant - overlooking the ocean, 2mins from the beach (and what a great beach it is)
- it is so well maintained - looks really new
- it has all the facilities you need (I stayed a week and wanted for nothing)
- there are a lot of really restaurants close by
- supermarket is <100m away
- Heike was a great host, check in & out was super smooth - and she was always reachable
