the room was amazing, the hotel is very well designed and the staff goes above and beyond to provide an excellent experience. The beach is secluded and cozy, there are sunbeds on the cliffs as well as in the sand, there is beach side service and a place to rent kayaks from, right on the beach.
The restaurants have amazing views and never felt crowded (in late August, so quite the height of the season). Food is great, try the Cretan wine as well, it has a rich history.

Everything about Elounda Gardens was fabulous. Lovely staff (extremely helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived until we left), spotlessly clean (apartment cleaned every day), well equipped, comfortable and spacious apartment. Bar / restaurant was great and pool area perfect, with comfortable beds and fresh towels available. Location is perfect, a short 2 min walk to all Elounda has to offer yet very quiet. Water, wine and fruit available on our arrival and a beautiful gift when we departed (thank you!)

breakfast buffet was excellent and staff attentive and friendly. pool was great with a fabulous view and always able to get a sunbed.
despite the hotel being on a main road, you wouldn't know it up at the pool where it was always peaceful and chilled. similarly though the hotel had many guests there was no noise in the room at all. also super peaceful and chilled.
location is great. just on the edge of the part of town with loads of places to eat and grab a drink but not noisy at all. highly recommend a stay here.

The bedroom has a sling wall which brings you to the balcony with beautiful lake view. The host Maria is amazing! Quiet and luxurious resort. Although high season it felt spacious and quiet. We were upgraded to a villa which was exceptionally beautiful and comfortable. Took us some time to find our way around but buggy cars are always available. Customer service is of the highest quality. In contrast to previous reviews, food on the half board option was very good and varied. The private pool was the jewel in the crown and we enjoyed it day and night. Used our rental car to tour around and had great shopping in Agios Nikolaos and fun canyoning in Sarakinas gorge. I found the eastern part and coast of Crete much more to my liking. Definitely would come back and stay longer
