I have had my sister over visiting us in Frome from Germany and booked this accommodation for her and her partner. Lovely self-contained cottage in the countryside near a farm. Nice, quiet, and perfect place to relax on holiday. Everything you needed was provided. All we had to do was go shopping and fill up the fridge. Quick and easy access to the near town of Trowbridge by car. We all had a great time together, and my sister enjoyed the surroundings and would love to come back in the near future.

perfect size for two. powerful shower with big bath. sofa so comfortable. bed big enough for over 6 foot husband. kitchen equipment covered everything (e.g., microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer).

Super clean, cosy and loveable. Wooden walls and the whole ambient makes you feel you are alone in the cabin somewhere in the middle of high mountains but with everything you need, like very good heating.     This was our first time in a shepherd's hut, and the experience was great! We were left a basket of goodies to be able to have a cuppa and a slice of cake when we first arrived. The bed was comfy and the location was really quiet. I suggest that you take wellies for first thing in the morning as the path to the hut is very wet after rain or early morning dew. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be booking again as there is plenty to do in the area.

    I came to The Hoot for a couple of nights away from London and had a really great time! The location is so peaceful but also easily connected to lots of great places to visit. I stopped off at Castle Combe, Lacock and spent the day in Bath. Although it was a chilly few days, the log fire kept the place so warm and cosy! I really loved the addition of the breakfast hamper - such a thoughtful touch .. thank you!

    Great welcome hamper with quality local produce when I arrived. Wanted for nothing in the hut, wood burner already prepared incase I needed to use it. Very clean, well stocked with everything you'd need. Would recommend a stay

    Quirky, unusual and fun! Surprise birthday present (2 night stay). The weather wasn’t kind for July but it wasn’t an issue. We loved the location, quiet, great for dog walking (lots of bridleways close by). We even saw an owl. The ‘Box’ is kitted out with all the basic essentials plus a delightful welcome basket on arrival full of homemade and local treats. The owner really has thought of everything :)

    Peaceful and calm, ideal for rest and recharging. The hut was everything that we need, very clean and cosy :) The breakfast basket was such a nice touch, and made us feel really welcomed. Ruth and her husband were so nice and helpful! Thank you for letting us stay at your place :)
