Beautifully decorated with attention to detail and nothing was too much trouble. Sarah, Tim and Mabel the dog were perfect hosts.

The room was clean and comfortable, apart from the temperature, and the staff were very friendly and sympathetic to our concerns about our room. We enjoyed the breakfast and the bar in the evening, where, once again, the staff were very friendly. It was in an ideal location, a short train ride away from our air show event.
Lovely friendly and helpful staff especially the lady in reception. Location was perfect for my workshop. Easy parking. Rooms were spacious especially in the main building and very clean. A little tired in places but renovations are ongoing. Room service meal was piping hot and good. Simple pie and chips but nicely done.
The location was good. The hotel, like some of the reviews is tired but for the prices they are charging it is exceptional value. Rooms a good size, beds comfortable, rooms very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. The new owners are currently working their way through by renovating the property which will take some time but some of the reviews are unfair. We took a chance and we’re so pleased we did as it has so much going for it.

I stayed (again) in the cottages annexe, which for me is perfect- a blue badge holder I can park my car right outside the door to the cottage! Friendly staff, again for me the location is ideal, spotlessly clean, room has both bath and shower and is a good size and comfortable.
