When we arrived we didn’t have the codes to gain access to the building or the room. When we eventually made contact with the off-site staff they knew nothing about our booking but gave us a very small room that smelt very musty and damp (cost £81). Room was without a bath (booking.com confirmed latter) but hotel has no en-suite bathrooms with bath.We were then contacted by a different off-site member of staff who gave us access to a better room (room 9).

Lovely cozy room and liked the fact there was a usable kitchen, lounge and garden area also.

Bathroom very clean and excellent shower (room 2) Fellow traveller in room 1 said their shower suddenly got better when I had finished mine, as in their water pressure got better.
Nice views.
Didn't cook so cannot comment on the.kitchen.

For those on a budget, these cheap and cheerful hotels still have a lot to offer, with most offering WiFi and convenient locations. Popular with backpackers, many properties can be found in central locations and include comfortable rooms with private or shared bathrooms. It was very clean , good location, good value for money. No messing about with keys to get in and out, codes are used. Decent time to be out when you are leaving 11 am, a lot of places you have to be out by 10 am. Private parking is good too. Sea view too is always a bonus.

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the property for an inexpensive overnight stay.
Location is great , right opposite the seafront. A shame the room needed improvement. Windows in bedroom need attention and decor could improved.
However if you need a cheap place to stay , ideal , beds comfy.
The Norton has a good location right on the front, with parking although limited, the room we had was ground floor on the side of the building and was pretty spacious with lots of storage, basic facilities tv kettle etc and en suite also a sea view, the comunal room was a bonus with seating tv and pool table,in all a comfortable cheap place to stay.
