The Golden Eagle is a gem - an eclectic, quirky pub with rooms above that match, with everything we needed for our stay - we've never had a turntable and selection of vinyl before! The staff were really helpful, friendly and efficient and the veggie breakfast was delicious. It's only a few minutes walk to the city centre, Castle, walls and museums, so was a great location. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend.

Room was spotlessley clean, spacious and with a lovely view of the gardens. We ate in the Nelson restaurant for dinner and the Palm Court ~Restaurant for breakfast. Both were excellent quality and friendly staff.

it is so peaceful here, such a quiet location and there is no noise disturbance from the corridor or other rooms, the hotel is spotlessly clean and the room was too. The Spa has everything you need and the breakfast probably had the best quality full English serving I've had in a long time - we will definitely be back
