Kingarth Hotel was a great find, with a very comfortable and well-appointed room, excellent food - accommodating allergies without any issues - and very friendly and helpful staff. All of Bute of easily accessible, with Mount Stuart close by, and Rothesay a short drive away. Definitely recommended.

For those on a budget, these cheap and cheerful hotels still have a lot to offer, with most offering WiFi and convenient locations. Popular with backpackers, many properties can be found in central locations and include comfortable rooms with private or shared bathrooms. You’ll also find a number of options which feature a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
Lovely old building, very quiet and peaceful to stay in. Also an ideal location as the property was within short walking distances between Port Bannatyne and Rothesay. They are bus stops with a minute walk from the property. Great view of the river from the property. Host was accommodating and responsive to questions.
The location was great with beautiful sea views. The place was very clean and facilities/equipment were adequate. Lynn was very helpful throughout our stay. We shall definitely return.
Location was ideal. Close to Rothesay and, in spite of being near a busy road, was remarkably quiet. Furnishings were lovely and well thought out - including a dressing table in the bedroom and full length mirror which so many property owners overlook for some reason. We ladies like to use a dressing table.
