Cosy cottage in a very peaceful location in a forested area. Large bathroom with hot shower and bath. Bed reasonably comfortable. We walked to Trellech and Tintern from the cottage with the aid of a very useful OS map provided by the owner. The autumn colours en route were a wonderful sight. Trellech has a very friendly village pub and the Abbey Mill in Tintern serves lovely coffee and cakes. Both Monmouth and Chepstow are within easy reach by car.

A gem of a place in the Welsh countryside. Quiet and peaceful and a stunning little conversion. Monmouth only a few miles down the road, a great pub within walking distance and a local gin distillery which is definitely worth a visit. The property was warm, smart, comfortable and the owners went out of their way to add the little extras such as dog treats, dog towells and a dog bed. Our pack has never been so chilled. Enclosed garden is enclosed which was great for us and just down the road, if you have a reactive dog, there are secure dogs fields. Lots to explore in the local area. We could not have asked for a better place to stay.

A Simple check in with clear instructions. The summerhouse was clean and tidy and in great order, a great night sleep in a quiet location and within mere miles from some amazing walks and hikes in the wye valley. Plenty of amenities and the stack of biscuits were appreciated 😀

Amazing location, beautiful room and exceptional staff
A lovely hotel in a lovely quiet location with excellent leisure facilities if you are there for more than one evening. The staff were all very helpful & the rooms were spotless.
Excellent value for money, especially cost and quality of breakfast.
Central location.
Decent selection of ales, at very cheap prices.
Good size room, good facilities.
Will return
The location was perfect, right in the middle of town.
The room was a perfect size and the bathroom was ideal for the room.
The bed was comfy but an extra pillow wouldn't go amiss.
Dinner was tasty and the portions quite generous.
Location ideal near old bridge attraction lovely river walks, Chippenham park and market town but if poor mobility street would be a struggle, room ideal for us oldies, breakfast the team were more than happy to adjust menu, hotel room very reasonable priced for facilities, if you want more than a budget hotel may not suit but we were more than happy with friendliness of staff and facilities very welcoming.
From the moment we arrived we knew we were going to enjoy our stay at The Punch House. Tash & her team are exceptional. Everyone was friendly & helpful throughout & our room was superb. Spotlessly clean & so comfortable & with a nice view out to the Shire Hall & Square. The location is ideal & Monmouth is a great base for exploring the area. Thankyou to all for making our visit so enjoyable.
Ideal location to stay to be near the location where I was working to.
Price is ideal for someone on a budget and just looking for a few nights for work.
