Naively I expected a buffet to accompany the cooked breakfast, however, I discovered I should have ordered whatever I wanted. Once I did, Robin went out of his way to make me what I asked for and the fresh fruit salad was perfect. Robin was careful about certain foods that make me unwell.

I bought my boyfriend the aqueduct canoeing experience as a gift for Christmas so we booked the shepherds hut for our stay. What a glorious corner of the earth! Waking up to the sound of the little creek that runs past the hut & the sound of the sheep is so relaxing. You have no signal so you have a few days away from hectic modern life. The views are absolutely stunning & the stars at night are amazing as there’s no light pollution! You can cozy up by the fire pit & even toast a few marshmallows. Laura was so lovely & helpful & I thank her for sharing her little paradise with us. I would highly recommend the shepherds hut if you’re in the area & wanting a few days “off grid”.

Lovely friendly owners - big thanks for giving me a lift to the station in Machynlleth! My room was spacious and beautifully clean and the bed very comfortable. Home-cooked food in the Chinese restaurant attached. I had a very pleasant stay there.

the property is in a little cozy spot right near bala.. the setting is lovely and the property matches this.. its a wonderful place to stay the property was in two sections and both were modern and kept to a high standard with a lovely decking area and seating area between them.. the hosts were very polite and amazing at directing us to the property.. me and my partner had an amazing stay and the beds were perfect i had an amazing nights sleep.. we will definatly return 🙌🏻 if you have not stayed here yet book it now u wont regret it 😃

Views were breathtaking. The hotel was oldie Worldy, and sat in beautiful grounds. The presentation of the first part of the breakfast was lovely.
Stunning location, superb views from balcony overlooking the lake. Beautiful room, very clean, comfortable bed, lots of variety of complimentary teas and coffees plus a mini fridge.
The location of the hotel was ideal for visiting the locality and the hotel was comfortable and relaxing. The food in the restaurant was excellent especially the evening meals.
The facilities were great at the hotel, bar area was well looked after and the spa was fab. The location speaks for itself, it was incredible and an ideal winter break when it is quiet. Breakfast was great and we were really looked after by the waiting staff.
Amazing location. Definitely recommend a room with a lake view. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. Affordable access to the Spa for guests of the hotel. Can't fault it!
