As it was out of season the pub itself was closed, so breakfast was unavailable, although we were offered drinks from the bar if required. We were visiting friends nearby so it wasn't an issue. The location is very peaceful with countryside views. Steph the host was very friendly.

The location was great , I found out on arrival that they didn’t do food on a Wednesday night so not that helpful for someone that’s been on the road all day , but I was pointed in the direction of another pub about a mile away down the hill , and so they accommodated a meal which was very nice . The room was okay and did have the addition of a chair so that made a change ..

The quiet village location is superb and this is clearly a popular local inn, thought not in the least noisy. I enjoyed an excellent pint later on in the evening, just before the bar closed. The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable and I would be pleased to stay again if in the area. The staff I met were obliging and friendly.
