What a place, feels like home and great for that mid-week business stopover, i was travelling from the NW to Cambridge then on to Southend. The Bistro is perfect, with great food at reasonable prices. Ash Room, which i had was quirky, but beautifully done with a stocked mini fridge. Breakfast, there was a choice of a good variety for everyone, including Childrens menu, also being served from 7am which is great if you needed to on the road early.

We had a bowls tournament which was 10 mins away so perfect location for us. McDonalds, shops and pubs are all within walking distance. You could hear singing in the evening both nights, no bother for me. It is near a train track but again no bother, less trains through the night.
Not sure if it was advertised but we hooked up to the WiFi. Communication was great explaining how to get the keys, private car parking space was great. Was cheaper than a Travelodge so very happy.

I visited the lodge with my girlfriend for a weekend break and a bit of fishing, we honestly couldn’t of had a better weekend! The lodge has everything you would need to enjoy a relaxing weekend, the staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful, the location was great very peaceful, the whole site was absolutely spotless throughout. The lakes are beautiful I fished the main lake on/off throughout my stay and had 9 carp 3 over 20lb biggest was a common 24.8 would highly recommend visiting
