Staff were superb. Really friendly and welcoming. We greatly enjoyed the garden tour and the Michelin star dinner. We came mainly for the gardens and were not let down.

The size of this place is so impressive and yet oddly doesn't feel too big for two people. It has a superb layout with great characteristic features. Amazing kitchen with a nice big oven. The upstairs lounge is very relaxing. The WiFi worked fine but the welcome book needs updating though, as the WiFi information is not current.
Typically we got good old UK weather (plenty of rain), which turned the rear garden into a muddy pond. This sadly stopped us from using the hot tub, as the ground was so wet. Had the weather been better we would have definitely used it.

Absolutely loved my stay on the 20/9. I stayed with me niece and nephew and they were over the moon with the change of scene we needed. A bonus we got to see deer running around it the morning. Rebecca was really helpful with any questions I had and easy to talk to. Only down side was having to leave, should definitely had booked an extra night!

We liked the room, which was a decent size. Decent sized old fashioned bed with wooden headboard. Views over the churchyard, with lovely sound of church bells in the morning which was fine.
There was a clean small showerroom.

You’ll also find a number of options which feature a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
Decent hotel for the price clean but a bit dated staff was polite ideal location for us as my brother had an appointment at the queen Victoria hospital which was 10 minutes drive
Location was ideal for our overnight stay as we were having an evening out in a venue less than a ten minute drive away. Good breakfast, friendly staff.
There was a huge amount of mold on the carpet and the room smelt really bad. It looked as if perhaps there had been a recent leak. The room itself was not very clean and really needed a lick of paint. It did not feel comfortable or welcoming. The breakfast was poor too. The location was nice but overall I wouldn't stay here again.
The property and grounds are delightful. The room, which was the Master Suite was spacious. The ladies who did the facials were great. The staff were incredibly friendly. The room was very clean. The location is very peaceful.
Main evening meal and breakfast great.
Location ideal for visiting Lewes.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Parking was good as they have a large car park.
Huge room, really friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed, room was spotlessly clean, plus lots of nice touches eg sleep spray and good quality toiletries. Breakfasts were excellent (delicious and good size portions), and the location was ideal.
