The forest area is beautiful, the husband was helpful with advice about heaters, and trying to get Netflix working. Their little boy was friendly. It was Halloween, so dad and he were decorating their driveway with giant pumpkins. Farnham was a nice village with a great place to get nails done for a wedding and grab coffee and breakfast. It's a £7 taxi from the station.

We did not stay at the Plume of Feathers, the accommodation was not satisfactory. It was cold, cheerless with no comfortable features. The bed linen was clean but felt damp and needed airing. The room itself was up some stairs in an outbuilding.

Location was excellent for Farnham castle, where my presentation was being held.
Although located in the high street, our room was very quiet. Staff were very polite and nothing was too much trouble.

The room in the stable was comfortable and very clean, ideal for a short break. Breakfast (the full English) was made with local sausages and bacon and was excellent.
