Beautiful hotel. On arrival, we were checked in by the manager who very kindly allowed us to check in early as 2 of our rooms were ready. The hotel is right across the road from the train station so very easy to get to. Always at least two members of staff available for anything you may need at the desk. All staff were very polite and very professional. The concierge were fantastic they even gave out umbrellas to use on one of our days that was raining.

Location great. Less than 10 min walk to inside the walls. Park on site around back which is a big bonus anywhere in the UK.
Room was a good size with comfortable bed.
Breakfast was cooked for you with good variety and very nice.
Bar only open between 4 to 8 but plenty of pubs in town.

Loved its central but quiet location and how obliging and responsive Rosie the owner was. Thought the apartment was smart and well equipped with some thoughtful extra touches - certainly no sense of skimping.

Clean and comfortable room; warm and cosy atmosphere. Jonathan the owner was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Great weather during my stay so it was a lovely 15-20 minute walk to the city centre.
For those on a budget, these cheap and cheerful hotels still have a lot to offer, with most offering WiFi and convenient locations. Popular with backpackers, many properties can be found in central locations and include comfortable rooms with private or shared bathrooms. You’ll also find a number of options which feature a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
It’s a lovely cozy place to stay. Would recommend it to anyone staying in York. The location is quiet and secure behind electric gates. Child friendly with a lovely garden and play area for kids to play on. Nice vegetable and flower garden too to explore and they even gave us eggs in the cottage from the chickens in the garden ! Brilliant place.
The cottage was really lovely, very cosy, very clean and so well stocked with everything we could have needed. There was milk and other things left for us. The bed was very comfortable as were the sofas. All in all loved this place. To be recommended.
exceptionally well organised and presented. Very clean and comfortable. Good, quiet location with local shop and bakery across the road. Free parking outside the property. Bus stop 1 min walk away takes you straight into York in 23 mins. Great location for exploring further afield to the Dales, Moors and coast.
Everything about this property was great, a real home from home and had everything we needed. The bathroom was a real treat! Location is excellent and the Host was brilliant! We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this property.
The location was good. In a beautiful village with good parking and bus access to York. Shops bakers and coffee shops very close by. Good access for walking and sight seeing in this lovely area.
