Fantastic location with very welcoming friendly staff. The whole place has a lovely atmosphere. The room was beautiful with everything we needed to make our stay perfect. There were lots of little extras like homemade scone and jam. Plenty of tea and coffee. Lots of toiletries including bath salts, bubble bath, shower cap, a dressing gown and slippers. The cooked breakfast was delicious and all for a very reasonable price. We definitely recommend.

I had a lovely stay at The Maynard at the end of a walking holiday, and couldn't recommend it enough! The building is beautiful, the room stylish and cosy, the bedding extremely comfortable. My favourite thing about the room was having a Roberts radio and being able to unwind to my favourite station - such a nice touch! I was able to leave my backpack with the reception before check-in and after check-out to do walks, which was so helpful. The staff were all so sweet and accommodating, thank you ♥️

We had a lovely stay, the cottage is so clean and very comfortable with everything you need for a quiet relaxing stay in the country. We will definitely book to stay here again next time we visit this part of the country.

The property was very well located, with great access to the Peak District, local shops and transport. The house itself was very clean and extremely well equipped in the kitchen and bedrooms (lots of utensils and comfortable beds etc). The size of the house was great, as a group of 8 we had plenty of space in the communal areas to all be comfortable and spend time together. The owner was very nice, attentive and great at communicating. 10/10 would recommend.
