Set in Cumnock in the Ayrshire region, Cosy wood cabin in rural area near national park features a garden. Offering complimentary private parking, the holiday home is 25 km from Ayr Racecourse. Outdoor dining is also possible at Cosy wood cabin in rural area near national park.

The cabin was a beautiful haven, so comfortable and cosy. The hosts had thought of every thing to make it so. The view from the porch was stunning and by night gave a superb view of the stars and moon. Quite magical! Though hard to tear oneself away from the cabin, there is lots to explore and experience in the surrounding countryside in Ayrshire and also nearby Dumfriesshire. Wish I could have stayed longer!

With a stylish restaurant, the Dumfries Arms Hotel is situated in Cumnock. Dating back to the early 18th century, this contemporary boutique hotel boasts a restaurant and free Wi-Fi throughout.

The individually designed rooms feature tea and coffee making facilities and a flat-screen TV with freeview channels. Each room benefits from an en-suite bath or shower room.

This is a wonderful boutique hotel. The staff went above and beyond. We were in Cumnock to find and visit family graves. The lady at the front desk even gave us some flowers for when we found the graves (which we did). The food was great and reasonably priced. A bus stop is just across the street. The rooms were cozy, nicely decorated and very clean. Note on accessibility - the hotel is multiple buildings together so unless you are on the main floor there are sets of two and three steps to go up and down. There is a lift but once off the lift the various quirky steps start. If you use a wheelchair make sure you get a ground floor room.

I arrived after a long hot journey - It is apparent that there has been a significant investment in renovations. My room and shower was tidy and clean. Staff in restaurant were friendly. Evening food OK and a reasonable price. Good idea to have a wee breakfast option. Handy location for visiting Dumfries House. They dealt with my early departure professionally, i.e. not charged me for the second night, that I cancelled. They said heard my concerns - see comments in what I didn't like.
