We were walking the coast path in both directions so the location was ideal. Every staff member we had contact with was so friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in had a shared bathroom which suited our short stay and the shower was great! The bed was super comfortable with lovely bedding. We bought breakfast which was good value for money and had vegan option too, they also offer a packed lunch service which is good to know if you’re walking.

Beautiful location, beautifully decorated rooms and building, with good amenities. Very clean and comfortable . Very friendly and helpful staff. We really enjoyed our meal in the Snug bar in the evening and drinks on the sea wall. So lovely and quiet with no traffic and a great village.

The location is excellent! Views are to die for. The hotel is old and full of character, but modern where it needs to be. All the staff were friendly and helpful, particularly one of the bar men. Loved the food and room. Bed was very comfortable and slept very well. It was a nice touch getting a free land ranger to the top of the village and free entry into it as part of the hotel price. It is not cheap to stay here, but worth every penny for the experience and location.

Very good location, comfortable, clean. My dog was welcomed, parking onsite and I enjoyed my stay. Having read previous reviews, I do wonder what planet some people are from....this is a 16th Century coaching inn, with a lovely atmosphere and wonderfully quirky. There are plenty of budget chain hotels available for those who prefer that sort of thing. If I need accommodation in this area in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to return.
