Our flight from Bristol Airport was around midday so we travelled from Cornwall and spent the night before here. We were welcomed warmly on arrival and later in the early evening we were given complimentary welcoming glass of wine. The room was comfortable with well thought out facilities. Parking was free and near the room (our room was just across the courtyard but there were other rooms in the main building). We reserved a table for dinner later that evening and the food was brilliant and the atmosphere friendly and busy. The staff cannot be faulted. We slept well and the breakfast the next morning was excellent. I realised that our boarding passes had not been printed properly at home and the staff rallied round and helped me to reprint them. Nothing was too much trouble. We shall return.

I've stayed before at Open Acres. This was a different room than before. This had a balcony. It was a lovely room, comfy bed and slept well.

Close proximity to the airport. Nice selection of food and drinks in room for snacks and b’fasts, but as we had such an early flight, little used.

Pete & Janet were very friendly and welcoming and the place was immaculate.
It is a very tastefully renovated barn and a pleasure to stay there.
A very nice touch, especially after travelling from overseas, was there was some milk and eggs in the fridge as well as some cheese and biscuits.
Great, rural location for exploring the Mendips. lots of little thoughtful touches and well stocked with games, cooking equipment and dvds.
