The location was ideal just opposite the train station as that was our mode of travel. The staff were friendly & helpful. The room was larger than expected with an additional bed (unexpected as we only booked a double). It had modern decor, comfortable bed and was exceptionally clean. It looked to me like a recently renovated room. The shower room was a good size and had plenty of fluffy towels and toiletries. The corner sink was tiny but not really an issue. It would have been nice if there had been a shelf though. There were plenty of tea & coffee making facilities, large TV, plenty of hangers and the room, although it overlooked the station had a good view of the hills beyond. Passing trains were barely noticeable so the room was quiet too. The whole hotel was characterful and nicely decorated. It had a warm, welcoming feel

Popular with backpackers, many properties can be found in central locations and include comfortable rooms with private or shared bathrooms. You’ll also find a number of options which feature a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
My family and I have stayed in many self-catering properties; this is easily the best. The location is breathtaking and the property is beautifully looked after and very comfortable. We were sad to leave and would recommend 100%.
We were self catering. The house was very spacious with everything we needed. The views were lovely from every side and the summer room was a nice warm place to sit on our return each day. A good location to visit the borders and the Northumberland coast.
Stunning location right next to the sea. Parking for the car is immediately opposite the house.
Very comfortable. The towels and duvet are particularly luxurious.
We saw seals, dolphins and herons from the house.
What a superb cottage. Whilst it ticks all the boxes for "cosy" and snug", the sea views are off the scale, along with the attention to detail lavished on the interior by the owners. Everything was carefully considered, down to the best corkscrew I've ever used in a rental property! The location is an utter delight, with so much to see and do within a short drive, together with rapid access to all of Berwick upon Tweed's shops and facilities.
The location of this cottage is second to none, with it's outstanding views out to sea literally yards across the road. The cottage is well equipped and very clean and the villagers were friendly and welcoming. Access to the surrounding areas was easy and always lovely to return to the cottage after a day exploring.
Great location in a friendly and authentic fishing village. Extremely well-equipped and well-maintained for self-catering and ideal for singles, couples or small groups/families.Quality towels and bed linen and many of the appliances and equipment looked new. Easy access to a wide range of shops, supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Good base for exploring the region generally or simply for a relaxing hideaway.
