Great location halfway across Islay. Easy drive to Bruichladdich and Bowmore. The very picturesque distilleries down south of Laphroiag, Lagavulin and Ardbeg are a short drive. The room was very clean and well appointed. The restaurant is simply SUPERB, and they made us feel very special on our 20th wedding anniversary dinner!

Excellent hotel! Spotlessly clean with a lovely comfy bed. Not something I usually notice but the linen was so soft! great location for exploring Islay. Food was delicious. We had dinner at the hotel and would definitely recommend. Breakfast was fantastic too with plenty of choice. Best Scottish breakfast I've ever had. Must mention the staff, everyone was so pleasant, helpful and friendly. We particularly liked hearing the local accents. Thank you Brigend team!

To start the location is off the beaten track which makes it exceptionally quiet, The host Thomas was first class absolutely nothing was to much trouble, I suppose the stay is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. I think if you stay once you will want to go back. the Breakfast is as good if not better than a five star hotel, wonderful.

Superb hotel, staff, location and food. The imposing Hotel building is at the head of a great loch and seascape. Jenny welcomes us and showed us around, terrific; She made sure personally that the room was ok for us (we moved to a different room, without the view). Top class dinner: who needs a great deal of choice when there is what you want? Breakfast was just excellent. We came to Islay not for the hotel - but next year we may return, just for the hotel and stay somewhat longer.
