Lovely two bedroom house in a rural village close to Epernay in the Champagne district. There are no shops in the village but it is very close to villages with all facilities. You need a car to fully appreciate the joys of Champagne here, but I’d argue that you do anyway. Guided tours of somewhere like Champagne can change the leisurely pace that life is lived here and limits the special little things that can be done like pic-nics, walks among the vines and fishing in La Marne. The house is impeccable in cleanliness and in style. It’s made to be a home away from home and has every possible amenity including washing machine and bikes. You can walk around the village of Vinay and do tastings at the many small Champage houses there.

Michele was a wonderful host! We opted on short notice to have dinner as well. The food and drinks were a delight. We enjoyed visiting with the other guests over a glass of champagne and it was just perfect. It was a lovely view of the countryside and very relaxing. We highly recommend this place. What an amazing gite! We loved the tranquility, the gite was comfortable and absolutely gorgeous, and there was ability to buy champagne from the gite as well as another vinoble with tasting room just a short walk away. Could have stayed here for much longer!

Jeanne is a wonderful hostess who was able to intuit our every preference and need though we spoke no French. Her place is immaculately clean. Every day the abundant breakfast was slightly different. When she deduced that we like cheese she offered 3 different kinds and explained what part of France they came from. We also liked the location up on a hill with beautiful views and down the block from a lovely old church.
