Located in a quaint little French village, very quiet and far from crowds but had interesting sights and walks (easily walkable to the centre as well), a shame we only stayed for one night so had no time to explore. The place itself is lovely with a big garden in the back and a well-equipped lounge and dining room that we had all to ourselves when we stayed. Our room was the perfect size for our small family, and the double shower was a plus. We requested for dinner which was a three-course meal, my children really enjoyed it. Breakfast had a great selection of sweet and savoury as well. Parking in front which was very handy. A great stop before we continued our journey further south. Lovely house with a large and beautiful garden. I had a very relaxing time at La Maison du Marchand. The room had a very pleasant and peaceful atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed sitting at the table in the garden under a tree reading a book while being surrounded by plants, trees and singing birds.
I also enjoyed the breakfast with fruits freshly picked from the garden as well as the very kind and welcoming hosts.
This charming hotel is located in the countryside village of Augne, on the Millevaches plateau.
