What did I not like? This was absolutely perfect! From the welcome at the door, the hose for my (by then rather dirty!) bike, the warmth of the room, the bath tub, the coffee and tea facilities in the room, the breakfast of kings (and queens!), the decor... It was absolutely perfect. Just what I needed half way through a rather tough ride!
The hosts are such lovely people, who take care of every detail. Fresh bread from the bakery in the morning, fresh fruit, the best coffee. Absolutely can't fault it.

My favourite hotel on my French travels, a real gem. The old property has been imaginatively renovated and elegantly furnished with flair. There are interesting communal sitting areas; the terrace and bedrooms have an outstanding view. It’s situated at the historic centre of Thouars and provides a great location for exploring further. For those cycling, like I was, the secure bike storage was very convenient. Breakfast was simple and excellent. The hotel has a warm, homely atmosphere, with unusual charm! The hosts were extremely welcoming and professional.

The swimming pool was a real treat after a 4 hour drive in full sun.
The room was so spacious ..71m2 and everything was spotlessly clean.

Don’t be put off by the exterior (which looks like a self-storage unit!) - the facilities are great and the staff super friendly. We had truly amazing seafood pizzas (it was pizza night) and a tasty pichet de vin rouge as well as puddings for under €40. And great safe storage for our bikes and excellent breakfast. And it was ideally located for our bike trip towards La Rochelle
