We were traveling from Portugal by car and arrived very late but there was someone still waiting for us and was super understanding. The property was pet friendly which was necessary for us and we were able to bring our 2 small dogs and 1 cat. There was a lot of puzzles that were very entertaining and the decor was very nice. Very comfortable and our resident hosts Michel & Erica , Stan & René have thought of everything to make our stay memorable . The coffee/tea station was very welcome and the honesty bar fridge and snacks such a great idea . A fantastic breakfast each day with fresh fruit and eggs/ bacon if required . The delicious 5 course evening meal with wines flowing from the estate was just wonderful … delicious restaurant quality food and such excellent hospitality . Also very comfy beds plus welcome A/C in the middle of August and lovely surroundings to relax at the end of the day and cool off off in the pool . Oh and the EV charger for my electric car was an absolute triumph . Thank you so much .

Les Cabanes de Lara was a little slice of heaven and just the break we needed. Daniel the owner was very kind and helpful. We recommend the breakfasts, brought to your cabin in such a beautiful setting, we loved sitting outside our cabin and enjoying the delicious and fresh food. There was everything we needed for a family of 4 and plenty to keep us entertained on the site with the swimming pool, the nature around the lake, fishing, as well as the ping pong, table football and lots of space. We were also able to explore the beautiful surrounding area of the Dordogne. We hope to return!
