Wonderful welcome from our host who very kindly let us check in early on a wet day and made us a delicious omelette and cheese and salad. Just a short bike ride from the canal so ideal for a stopover. In the evening Claude’s wife cooked a delicious spinach tart followed by duck . In all a very good experience.

Great place to stay a couple of nights, like being at home with Marie being an excellent host. On Mondays there is no local restaurant, we had to travel to Tonnerre, which was not a lot of fun. The bistro across the square from La Virgule was very good. We went there on Sunday evening - simple, friendly and great wine by the glass!
Altogether a memorable experience, highly recommended

Great situation right on the canal and as my daughter and I were biking the canal it was a perfect stop. Lovely very stylish interior with large bedrooms and perfect swimming pool in which to relax. Delicious breakfast.

Comfortable and homely. Very peaceful surroundings. Michel was so helpful and kind. He went out of his way to transport us to and from the Burgundy Canal path.

This is a very clean well equipped house with an excellent owner. It is quiet and so is Tanlay. Parking just across the street and Boulangere and shop just round the corner. Great attention to detail in this refurbished old house.

The location is lovely in a quiet street alongside Chateau Tanlay, very old and quaint, lots of interesting features. Our host ensured safe parking for our motorcycle and recommended a lovely restaurant alongside the nearby canal. Breakfast was lovely, taken in the enclosed courtyard, very atmospheric.
For those on a budget, these cheap and cheerful hotels still have a lot to offer, with most offering WiFi and convenient locations. Popular with backpackers, many properties can be found in central locations and include comfortable rooms with private or shared bathrooms. You’ll also find a number of options which feature a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
A very warm welcome and a comfortable room. Quiet location, only slightly off the canal. Secure bicycle storage. Great meals. Claude speaks excellent English and was very helpful and charming. Home- away -from -home feel.
