Property was clean, comfortable and in a lovely location, beautiful views to the village and over the countryside. a nearby restaurant and nearest town a short car ride away. Centrally located to visit picturesque towns in the region, 1 1/2 hour by road to Biarritz airport / the coast and less than 2 hours by road to San Sebastian, Spain, which is well worth a visit. Also, great for activities such as white water rafting & e-scooter adventures.
This hotel is up a hill with very little around, but seems to be a magnet for hikers, cyclists, and bikers doing the Trans Euro Trail. Comfortable rooms, if on the smallish side, but very clean and modern. It was a perfect stopover for us. Some interesting items on the menu in the restaurant, but food was plentiful and good. The owner worked tirelessly, and was a real gem in making sure everything was just right for everyone, to the extent of loaning his car for free went it was needed! Fantastic service.
