Chateau-monastère de La Corroirie, hotel in Montrésor

The Chateau-monastère de La Corroirie offers a unique experience. Guests are invited to stay in a former monastery in the medieval village of Montresor.

It is no exaggeration to say, we were staggered by the beauty of the property and grounds, with a sympathetically comfortable approach to the living quarters and bedrooms. Absolutely exceptional.

Le Relais des Fontaines, hotel in Montrésor

Featuring barbecue facilities and views of city, Le Relais des Fontaines is a recently renovated bed and breakfast set in Nouans-les-Fontaines, 15 km from Beauval Zoo.

We stayed here as it is perfect for visiting Zooparc Beauval. Our daughter recommended it and we were so pleased we chose this accommodation. Our hosts were wonderful after we had made a long drive from Switzerland. We had a spacious room, with excellent wi-fi. The shower was very pleasant. The downstairs was free for guests to use at their leisure. We were invited to make drinks (many different teas available) and use the kitchen as if it were our own. The lounge, so comfy, also had a keyboard which I enjoyed playing. We were the only ones staying on our second night and treated it like home. The rooms were all so individually decorated and full of eclectic items making it fascinating to browse around. The parking was right outside the property and there is a table and chairs where we enjoyed a glass of wine on arrival. There is a lovely pizza and pasta restaurant just 75 metres away. The Harry Potter room is amazing, simply great for families.

Jeff was very welcoming and gave us a booklet to explain the history of the buildings. We chose the accommodation because it sounded interesting and unusual. It was very spacious but clean, the bed was comfortable and location very peaceful. Jeff was really helpful and booked an excellent restaurant nearby.

This place is magnificent. Probably the nicest place we have ever stayed. Where heritage, art and great location meet. If you are looking for a very quiet place, in a remote area, and love history this is it. The place was a monastery till the 18th century and they have converted some parts of it as a b&b. The croissants in the morning where probably one of the best I have ever tasted and the rooms are big, quiet and charmingly decorated with all modern facilities.

loved this beautiful old mill which has been renovated very sympathetically and has kept its authenticity. it feels very homely, unlike soulless hotels. It is situated in a beautiful location in a lovely quiet village, which you access through beautiful tree lined roads.

The hosts were really welcoming. It was a very homely atmosphere, very warm and unpretentious. The house and location is very special and the village is beautiful. The hosts booked us a table in advance at the Café de Ville, which I would also recommend. A very good stop off if you're traveling down to the south.
