To start with, the host, Eileen, is a fabulous English lady who is most helpful and fun to chat with. The house, being Eileen's own home, is well cared for and it shows: clean and exceptionally well equipped. The house exceeded my expectations by a mile (as someone who has used booking.com well over hundred times and hardly ever reviewed any stays, I don't use superlatives lightly). The house is spacious and in a beautiful setting, rustic (in a most idyllic way) yet convenient to get to all the attractions. Last but not least and what a pleasant surprise it was (for someone who needs to stay connected): lighting fast fiber optic internet! This is when you realize how far behind America has become when it comes to infrastructure!

Great Location, nice and comfortable and well equipped. Plenty of wood for the log burner which was nice and cosy. Wonderful owners Linda and Colin really welcoming and just couldn't do enough for us, even had us for dinner one night which was so so lovely.
