This family run hotel could run a course on what great looks like in hospitality. From arrival, dinner, breakfast and departure there is no room for improvement when you have got it right! The dinner alone was a standout experience. The decor in the entire hotel was classy and suited it. There is also a SPA however we did not have time to try it out - so there is an excuse to return asap. Thank you for a wonderful stay - it was my birthday treat!

Great location- the view from the kitchen window across the vines to the Black Forest is stunning. You are a short walk into the town which has a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants. The garden is a lovely spot to have breakfast or dinner. On-site off-street parking is provided and is essential since nearby parking is charged and often full.
The house is tastefully furnished with lots of crockery, cutlery and glassware which means you don’t need to run the dishwasher every day.
Riquewhir is busy during the day with lots of tour buses bringing people to the area. There’s a little train to take you round the sights but it’s an amazing place to wander around the narrow streets. In the evening it quietens down a lot.
Veronique is an amazing host. She is extremely helpful and provides lots of information on what to do in the area including maps and leaflets on activities, sights, walking and cycling routes, bars and restaurants.

The property is located in an amazing prime location. You are literally in a picturesque quaint town and have everything at your fingertips. I cannot tell you how lovely this location is. It’s totally perfect. The host is a lovely person who is very responsive and will happily answer any questions that you have and is contactable throughout your stay. There was a lovely bottle of wine to welcome and had parking permits available for duration of my stay.
The property facilities i.e. the technical aspect of the property was very well thought through, down to alexia, apple mirroring, digital door locking system, digital Dyson etc. The welcome guide was the most useful and I used that throughout the week to keep going back to it and reference it. The property has plenty of cutlery and plates some shower gel in the bathroom. All the facilities were basically catered for and the furniture was lovely and high standard design/bathroom/fixtures/appliances/linen/decor etc. All of the cutlery was of high quality. The property was extremely clean and most of the cupboards contained cleaning products to be used to clean if necessary including vacuum.

The host is super friendly! Great peaceful location with spacious garden. Lots of hiking trails within half an hour ride. We would wake up with birds singing and could have campfire in the evening. The beds were comfy and kitchen is well equipped.
The atmosphere, the location (remote and thus very quiet, but still a short drive from places of interest, shops, etc), the amazing value for money, and the excellent hosts. Basically everything!
I traveled with a car, so it was a good way to spare a couple of euros for the room as well as for the parking. My objectives were a long walk through Colmar and a hike around Lac Blanc/Lanc Noir in Vosges (which I cordialy advise to take). The location of the hotel just between those two point was perfect. It also can be a good idea to visit the hotel's restaurant - I was positively surprised with it.
The cottage has a great location on top of the mountain with some nice natural views. The cottage is exceptionally clean, very well decorated with taste and has everything you need for a pleasant and comfortable stay. A working fireplace is a definite nice cherry on top for a cozy evening. All in all we loved our stay!
We have 3 dogs,1 of which is a 6 month old Ridgeback... the owners were completely relaxed about her, which made us feel very welcome.
The house had everything you could need. Wonderful location for the outdoors and proximity to lovely little villages.
