We had a wonderful weekend, Charlotte and Virginie were the perfect hosts and the food was amazing. The homemade breakfast was delicious, in particular the eggs from their chickens with delicious buttery soldiers! We decided to stay at L’adret for dinner too as it was so relaxing and the table by the pool was perfect with views of the countryside, and the food was even better than we expected. The studio was very comfortable and I had a reflexology session with Virginie which was great. And a special mention for the 2 lovely, very well behaved dogs and the Pygmy goats who we feel in love with, we will definitely be back!

We could not have enjoyed our stay more. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped, the grounds are stunning and the hosts were so accommodating and warm. We loved wandering about the courtyard with the ducks and the resident cat. Watching the sunset over the river and eating dinner at night in the garden was enchanting, and we happened to be visiting on a night when a local food truck was parked right outside the chateau in the main village square so we could enjoy fresh Breton crepes and panna cotta without leaving the property. We can’t thank the hosts enough for how great they were.

The experience was unbeatable in every way. Claude and Sabrina are great hosts. Highly recommended to dine at the house to enjoy the magnificent dinners prepared by Claude (a real chef) and enjoy interesting and enriching conversation until the evening. The hosts are friendly, fun, open and cultured people, with whom you can talk about any subject. The house is in an absolutely unique setting and the decoration (both indoors and outdoors) is remarkably tasteful. The views towards the river leave you speechless. The peace of the place, the attention to detail and comfort also deserves mention. Both the village of Hastingues and the surrounding villages have been the object of special governmental protection and all urban reforms are respectful of the tradition of the place, in terms of the use of materials, architectural techniques, etc. It is wonderful to discover places where the use of hideous pwc enclosures, aluminum windows trying to imitate wood or metal roofs instead of tiles has not been allowed. The result of this care gives rise to a captivating urban landscape that transports you to another era. This small village, of English origin, concentrates the best of France, or in other words, what we all expect when we visit this magnificent country. I don't think I left out anything important. In short, a 100% recommendable visit.
