Renske and Arnaud are an amazing couple who are in the process of renovating and restoring an old farm house into a home and a B&B. If you are looking to be pampered in a so-called boutique hotel, then go elsewhere. If you want to be welcomed like a family member and share a few moments of their adventure then you’ve found the perfect place. We arrived in the evening after a long drive and were tired and hungry. There is no restaurant in the village but we were offered dinner. We had a delicious meal with all the vegetables home grown. I discovered later that they had given us their own dinner. Breakfast was taken all together, again with their own produce. Be prepared to be surprised. This place is unique.

Everything about this hotel is wonderful. We always use it for our overnight stay on the way to and from Italy. In fact we plan our journey dates around their availability. I was told by our host that on an earlier stay I reviewed the breakfast at '5'. I can't get into the review to edit it but I confirm that this was a mistake and should have been '10'. I must have pressed the wrong key.
For those on a budget, these cheap and cheerful hotels still have a lot to offer, with most offering WiFi and convenient locations. Popular with backpackers, many properties can be found in central locations and include comfortable rooms with private or shared bathrooms. The hosts were welcoming and friendly and Stephane cooked a fantastic meal for us too.
