Fantastic room and bathroom with a little hall with fridge and microwave and coffee machine. Really nicely decorated. All new. Nice view on the canal. Not far from the beach. Very calm. Good restaurants and a big supermarket are nearby.

The house felt luxurious, spotless, and very comfortable. I was sorry we only stayed overnight. We arrived quite late and had to leave early in the morning, so we could not really enjoy all the comfort the house offered. Very clean, well maintained property with the beach round the corner. Responsive owner yet a lot of privacy with everything in the house that we need. Well maintained kitchen and exceptionally clean house. I would recommend it to anyone.
Lovely small establishment in a quiet place on the north coast of France. The hosts were great, even after I arrived late due to delays catching the Eurostar.
The location is quiet and friendly (at least this time of year) and there was parking available.
I didn't stay long sadly but everything I expected was met very well by L'univers.
The room and en suite were very clean, and the room was very peaceful. The bed was very comfortable (firm, room a nice temperature).
L'univers is in a lovely location and our room was at the front so it was ideal for views. It was also very well placed for 2 super walks- 1 along the channel, the other out to sea.
Breakfast was pleasant.
We were off season so parking was very easy
We'd definitely return.
Great location in pretty port town. Ideal for travel before/after ferry to England. Quiet hotel and no disturbances of late arrivals/middle of the night departures that you get in hotels in Grande Synthe or Calais. Lovely walks along the estuary and beaches. Stayed on a Sunday so didn't try any local restaurants.
