This is a place like no other I've been to before. It is first of all a place that connects you to the history of the region and mostly the story and life of its people. We slept in what used to be a laundry room for the families of miners who lived in Cité des Électriciens. The contrast between the calm and comfort of our beautiful accommodation and the harsh lives of the people around here in the past was striking (and not lost on us!).
Everyone we talked to was very friendly and helpful as well.

Nothing was too much trouble for them, even with a small language barrier. 🙂
Breakfast was continental, nice quality food and very relaxed.
Good sized bedroom and bathroom. Shuttered windows were great for cool evening sleep 👍👍and a peaceful morning view.
Parking was on the front driveway, plenty of room for the car.

Beautiful apartment in a lovely area. The apartment is situated in a quiet and bucolic hamlet. The owner is very nice, very responsive and discreet. Everything was spotlessly clean and in working order. We could have taken her up on her offer to use the beautiful adjacent spa room for an extra fee, but we ran out of time and did not try it.
Location was perfect - in the heart of the countryside. Very peaceful and a short drive from Arras centre. Easy to find using Sat Nav. Well equipped kitchen.
Everything was amazing. The owners were so welcoming and helpful. What a feeling to enter the homely apartment and to be met woth chocolates and a nice bottle of wine. Only topped with the loan of a car to do some shopping when ours was broken. Excellent facilities and a wonderful location. Arras such a short drive and lovely walks just from the front door. Probably the nicest family holiday we have ever had. Thank you to Geraldine and Alain for some special memories. Hopefully see you in the summer!
