Alix was a wonderful host and nothing was too much trouble. The house is beautiful and our room was clean and spacious. As other reviewers have said, the breakfast is superb. The location is great, with lots to see and do locally - the Armistace Glade & museum is well worth a visit and Compiegne has great attractions, shops and restaurants. We travelled into Paris several times during our stay, and it was an easy journey by car or train. A fabuolus stay and we would definitely return.
Great location full of history, just sorry we had only stopped off on our way through to the tunnel as there would appear to be plenty to do locally. The host was very knowledgeable about the history of the property and the surrounding area.
We ate at a restaurant recommended by the host which was superb. Overall a very pleasant stay.
