This is quite an incredible place and feels much like hanging out in a wonderfully spacious tree house. It's well equipped and comfortable and offers a lot of space in which to unwind and relax. The bedroom is quite zen-like and would be the ideal room for morning yoga. The host Jean Pierre is wonderfully welcoming, warm and friendly and surely has many tales to tell of his admirable efforts to build this place solely out of wood. And if you're a cat lover, you might just come across Peu Peu (I think that's how it might be spelled), super friendly and laid back.... which gives you another clue on what to expect at this quite special place settled in calm surroundings. We arrived on our gravel bikes, tired, wet and needing to repair a picture. Francoise helped us out in one of his barns and then invited us for tea and biscuits in their lounge, and we all brushed up our English and French. We had the room with a bath which was very welcome. Valerie set two places in her kitchen, and I had free run to cook the food we had brought with us for dinner.
In the morning we had croissants with preserves from the garden, and Valerie’s homemade yogurt with pear compote and cooked peaches again from the garden.
We loved being welcomed into this kind couples beautiful home, and left having made new friends.
